Training

We’ve partnered with the Coaches of Color Initiative, which was co-founded by renowned coach & author, Matt Fitzgerald through his 80/20 Foundation as well as San Francisco Bay Area coach & Run Local ambassador Bertrand Newson. In 2022 they welcomed Coach Jessica Schnier as their first apprenticeship grantee to advance their careers in the industry.

Coach Jessica will lead California Coast 500 participants through weekly training insights to stay motivated throughout the summer and beyond.

Jessica is a trail runner who enjoys a sprinkle of road races now and again. She is a lifelong runner and began trail running in 2018. Originally from the flatlands of Iowa, Jessica now lives in San Diego, California.
